A Psychological Card Force Routine by Michael Murray

Introduction:
The following effect allows you to psychologically force a card onto your spectator. I've been developing this over the past six months and hope that you have fun with this idea!
Whilst this doesn't work 100% of the time I have had some favorable results with it. When it hits it goes down a storm and if it fails don't worry you can always have an invisible deck in your pocket as a back up.
To get an idea of how the effect flows you can try this on yourself now.
Simply follow the instructions below, please let us know how this works out for you, i'm genuinely interested in your feedback e-mail any comments to michael@magicbox.uk.com
The Speil:
"I'd like you to imagine that you are sitting in a classroomm there is no one else there but you.
In front of you is a large blackboard, i'd like you to imagine walking over to that backboard and wipe it clean.
Sitting at the side of the blackboard is a piece of coloured chalk, i'd like you to take this and draw some straight lines on the blackboard.
Once you have done this i'd like you to imagine sitting back down infront of the board and stare at the lines...
Imagine a copuple of those lines are slowly moving together to form a number, a number between one and ten.
Do you have one?" - The spectator agrees.
"Imagine a few more of those lines are comming together to form the suit of a playing card, so that you now have a number and suit in mind....don't change your mind but go with the initial thoughts."
Scroll down to read my thoughts....
At this point your spectator will now have a card in mind, and if you have followed the instructions yourself i'm hoping that you are thinking of the "Seven of Diamonds"!
There is a VERY high chance 90% that you are thinking of the Seven of Diamonds, second to that would be the four of diamonds followed by the two.
If you were not thinking of a diamond my testing so far would indicate that the suit was a club with the same values in the same probability order.
This routine has been structured to eliminate the court cards from the selection proceedure.
Seven is the most common number selected when giving people the choice of a number between one and ten.
The fact that your mentioning straight lines also helps to narrow down the range of choices and this applys to the possible numbers and suits that can be formed.
I hope that you give this a go and who knows you may even adapt the proceedure a little, if so I'd love to here from you!
Best Wishes Michael :)
