The magician is seen holding three ropes in his hand. Asking a spectator to assist him, the magician says, "I'm going to give you a chance to win some money. Attached to one of these ropes is a valuable cash prise. I'll give you two chances to guess which rope has the prise money attached." The spectator selects two of the ropes. Each time he does, the spectator pulls it from his hand. There's nothing attached to either one. When the magician’s hand is opened, sure enough there is a £20.00 note attached to a tied knot in the centre of the remaining rope. The magician unties the knot and pockets the money!
