The spectator is handed a dictionary containing thousands of words and a couple of dice. They are told that a word from the dictionary will be chosen - by choice and by chance. The chance consists of rolling the dice to get two random numbers. Then the choice comes into play. The spectator can use these numbers any way they want - for example, if they rolled a 5 and a 4, they could add the numbers and turn to page 9, or they could put the numbers together and turn to page 54, or 45 for that matter. They could even roll again and start over. Whatever they choose, a word is located and the magician concentrated and writes something on a notepad. The spectators names their word and of course, the prediction is correct!
